The Nursing Student Association (NSA) is a registered, governance and student organization at the University of Pittsburgh. NSA represents the University of Pittsburgh chapter of the affiliate, Student Nurses’ Association of Pittsburgh (SNAP) and National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA).
NSA is run by six student officers and one faculty advisor. Members are comprised of the School of Nursing undergraduate population. Meetings are held bi-monthly during the academic year.
NSA is busy throughout the year with many activities. Community service is focused in the university and Pittsburgh communities with projects at the animal rescue league, family house and making holiday cards for local veterans. NSA is busy fundraising with a Sarris candy sale and clothing sales. Students also attend the state (SNAP) and national (NSNA) conventions annually. Lastly, NSA hosts an annual formal for students at the end of the spring semester.
