HPRED 1141 Fitness for Instructors 3 Elective
HPRED 1233 Principles of strength and Conditioning 2 Extra Course
(HPRED 0241-- fitness for instructors and HRPED 1233 -- principles of strength and conditioning should be taken in the junior or senior year. HPRED 1233 should be taken after the completion of HPRED 1141.)
PEDC 0158 or 0193 Personal Fitness/wt training * 1 Senior Special Topic
While PEDC 0158 or 0193 -- personal fitness/weight training counts for us as one credit towards the senior special topic, students can complete this one credit requirement as freshmen OR prior to enrolling in HPRED 0241.
HPRED 1995 Behavior Change Theory ** 3 Psychology
HPRED 1300 Nutrition in Exercise and Sport 1 (3) Nutrition (3 credits)
HPRED 1241 & 1242 Teaching Experience 1 & 2 2 *** Senior Special Topic
     
* any PEDC (physical education) class will count towards this requirement
** Intro to Psych must be taken by nursing students and can be substituted for this course
*** 1 credit=30 hours of clinical practicum
